Description: 1859 Greek Revival antebellum mansion of James Henry Hammond and four generations of his family. The house is complete with furniture, decorative arts and artwork from the various periods of occupation. The site also features two slave quarters and a stable with exhibits. Special programs are offered throughout the year. (Visit website for schedule). Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Grounds are open Th-Mon 9 am-6 pm and include slave quarters. House tours Th-Mon at 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. Admission is charged for house tours.
