Thoroughbred Country presents the 2020 HEY Award

[AIKEN, SC, 2020] – Lisa Hall was named the 2020 Hospitality Employee of the Year Award winner on February 11. Hall accepted the 2020 Hey Award at the Thoroughbred Country Advisory Committee meeting held at Rye Patch in Aiken.
Hall is the Museum Coordinator for the Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Museum. She oversees all aspects of the Hall of Fame and Museum including exhibits and programs.
“Well I wasn’t expecting this,” said Hall. “The award was a total surprise. Thank you to all my friends and co-workers. I am immediately hanging this award on the wall in my office.”
The prestigious award recognizes outstanding front-line employees in the Thoroughbred Country South Carolina tourism region. Mary Ann Keisler, Tourism Director, presented the award to Hall.
“The Thoroughbred Country region is fortunate to have front-line hospitality partners, like Lisa,” said Keisler. “Lisa’s passion for her work is felt by all visitors. She has received numerous comments from young and old alike.”
The plaques awarded to all winners of the HEY Award are shingles from the original roofing of the South Carolina State House. Each are hand-painted by Elizabeth Ringus at the Little Red Barn Pottery and Art Gallery. This plaque symbolizes owning a piece of South Carolina.
Congratulations and thanks are in order to Hall for her hard work and dedication to the Thoroughbred Country region.
