|Event Name:||Joye In Aiken 2020: All-Stars Festival Jazz Band|
|Event Description:||What better way to kick off the week of spectacular performances than with a concert featuring our fabulous Joye of Jazz artists? Alicia Olatuja and Chris Pattishall will be performing at The Willcox the next day, but here's your chance to see them in the equally stunning setting of Second Baptist's historic sanctuary. Vocalist Olatuja, a Manhattan School of Music jazz and gospel singer praised by The NY Times as "a singer with a strong, lustrous tone and an amiably regal presence onstage," first came to national attention as the featured soloist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir at the 2013 Presidential inauguration. Jazz pianist Pattishall, who already has many devoted Aiken fans through his previous Festival appearances, was named one of the "30 young jazz musicians to watch" by Wynton Marsalis. This first performance in our Joye of Jazz series will be hosted by our Artistic Director for Jazz, Riley Mulherkar.
