|Event Name:||Joye In Aiken 2020: Devilry and Revelry - A Fiddler's Tale|
|Event Description:||Just in time for some Mardi Gras magic comes this bewitching Faustian tale of a young fiddler who sells her soul to an evil record producer. Composed by Wynton Marsalis (chair of the Juilliard Jazz Department), dramatized for us in a knockout performance by Broadway star Russell Joel Brown (The Lion King), and featuring a fascinating jazz/classical fusion for its score, this wickedly twisted little piece of musical sorcery reminds us of the terrible price to be paid for sacrificing authenticity to ambition - but also of how much fun you can have along the way. Prepare to pay attention: you'll be talking about this one for a while.
Tickets $30: Students FREE with ID. Available online or contact the Etherredge Center Box Office 803-641-3305.
