||It's migration and the count is this Saturday. We will not have a meet-up; pick an area and bird it, then turn in your count. Make sure to keep track of how many miles you walk and/or drive and what time you start and end. Any place in Aiken County can be counted. Gum Swamp Rd and Jackson Rd are already taken. Someone can walk the ponds at Silver Bluff, the Tanager Trail or the Quail Trail. There is also the North Augusta Greeneway, Brick Pond Park, Boyd Pond Park, Aiken State Park, Aiken Gopher Tortoise, Hitchcock Woods, any of the Heritage Preserves or just drive the dirt roads through horse country. And if you live in Aiken County, you can just count the birds in your yard, neighborhood or local park. Please post the area that you are planning to count so that we don't duplicate things.
