Event Description: | Join the Aiken Center for the Arts in celebrating the opening of 'Through the Eyes of a Child' and the Summer Art Camp Student & Faculty Show. Local author Shi Evans will also be in attendance for a book signing of her novel 'Whiskey Road' which is set in Aiken during the Great Depression. Pick up a copy of her book from our Gallery Shop or during the reception. 'Through the Eyes of a Child - USCA'. Announcing our new community STEAM program for children in the CSRA. The Aiken Center for the Arts has partnered with the Hitchcock Woods Foundation, Silver Bluff Audubon Center, and the North Augusta Brick Pond Park to launch 'Through the Eyes of a Child' a new initiative that guides students through nature with an emphasis on documenting their discoveries with digital photography using a cell phone, tablet or camera. The Summer Art Camp Student & Faculty Show will showcase the broad range of talent found at the art center. Exhibits will be on display August 4 - September 8, 2022. |
