Upcoming Event
Event Name: Story Time In The Gardens
Event Occurs: Weekly
Event Description: Story Time, a cherished reading program that promotes literacy in our community's youth. Story Time is free to attend and is held on the grounds of Rye Patch, located at 100 Berrie Rd. This season our stories will highlight the importance of making new friends, being kind, using your imagination, bravery and much more.

Parents are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket; snacks and drinks are welcome. Families will receive a free book at every reading session to build their home library. This program occurs every Tuesday afternoon in September & October. Families are encouraged to bring used books from home to help stock the Little Free Library in Hopelands Gardens. The Little Free Library, installed in April 2017, is a free book exchange that further encourages the mission of Story Time.

In the event of inclement weather, Story Time will be held inside Rye Patch Reception Center. For updates, please call the City of Aiken Rain Out Hotline at 803.643.4661.
