Event Description: | The Center invites the community to view "Anima: Now Sleep," the art of George Buggs, photographer, and poet on display in the Main Gallery. Buggs obtained a B.S. degree in History from Hampton Institute (Virginia) and an M.A. in English (Creative Writing) from Brown University. During his time at Brown University, he taught creative writing to undergraduates and actively participated in the Rhode Island Council on the Arts' "Art's in the Libraries" program as a Creative Writing Specialist for the Roger Williams College's University Without Walls program at the Rhode Island Correctional Facility. George Buggs' work will be on display at the Center from July through September. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 5:30 pm.
