| Event Description: | The 3rd Annual CanHope 5K & 1Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, at The Village of Woodside. The CanHope 5K will help raise much-needed funding for its local mission of financially supporting low-income cancer patients in Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Edgefield, McCormick and Orangeburg counties and also disseminating early detection and cancer prevention resources to all residents of these counties. Since 2003, CanHope has assisted with costs related to cancer treatment including transportation to cancer treatment facilities, cancer medications and medical equipment and supplies. The race and walk will start at 8am, but participants can arrive at 7:30am for packet pickup. Racers may also pick up race packets from 5pm -7pm Friday September 22nd at Village of Woodside Bocce court adjacent to Roma and The Village Cafe.
