| Event Description: | Join the Aiken Center for the Arts for a Gallery Talk and Wine Reception with the Artists on Thursday, November 9, 6-8pm in the main gallery. Engage with the exhibitions during a free wine reception from 6-6:30pm and settle in to hear each artist speak at 6:30pm in the main gallery. Limited seating for storytelling, reserve your chair for $10 per person. Inspired by a William Stafford poem, exhibiting artists Andrew Cho, Leslie Alexander, Diana Kirkpatrick, and Ginny Southworth bring their works together to explore people and place through the mediums of photography, charcoal, figurative drawing, clay and abstract works. Join the artists as they explore the meaning of "Threads" from their perspectives, build points of connection, and unearth the wisdom and inspiration amongst us. In a supportive space where people can listen and be heard, the voice of human experience guides the evening. Where will it take us? Exhibition runs October 26 to November 30, 2023 |
