Event Name: Colonial Times: Under the Crown & Trades Fair

Event Description: It is 1780 and the colonies are in rebellion. Charleston is under siege and may have already fallen, the rebel forces were defeated at Savannah last year in 1779. Things are not going well for the American cause. But the Rebels are not done yet. Come out and see this conflict, a very uncivil war. Find out what happens when the Crown moves in, old scores are settled and lives are changed forever.

Under the Crown and Colonial Trades Fair is a weekend filled with new ways to learn and experience the history of Augusta and North Augusta. Historical reenactors give a glimpse of the period of the American Revolution. You'll see aspects of daily life during the British occupation of Augusta-including the arrest and court martial of "traitors";18th century music and entertainment; colonial dancing in the Colonial Barn; and an Anglican church service at 10:30 in the Willow Springs Meeting House on Sunday. Come out and experience 18th century life "Under the Crown"!
