| Event Description: | The Aiken County Historical Museum is pleased to host the second annual "History Hop" tour on Saturday, November 11 from 1 pm to 4 pm. During this event, two of the City of Aiken's vehicles (a trolley and a shuttle bus) will shuttle guests between five museums and the library - Aiken County Historical Museum, Aiken County Public Library, Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame & Museum, Aiken Visitors Center & Train Museum, Center for African American History, Art & Culture, and the Savannah River Site Museum. In between the sites, historical highlights will be pointed out to guests by on-board tour guides. Guests are encouraged to hop on and hop off at each museum and the library - all of which have free admission. You can park at any of these five museums or the library to hop on the trolley and start your adventure. Thanks to the generosity of the City of Aiken's Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department, the "History Hop 2023" event is free and open to the public. |
