| Event Description: | *Due to the significant damage to several buildings, we are unable to host the Colonial Times: A Day to Remember event. We hope you can join us for the next event, Christmas in the Backcountry. We plan to expand this event to 2 days.* The largest and oldest event at the Living History Park is Colonial Times: A Day to Remember. Held the third weekend in October, this event offers an opportunity to understand what daily life was like for the people who settled our area. In addition to several featured guests, the event features demonstrations in pottery, weaving and spinning, frontier trading, quilting, blacksmithing, meat curing, gold and silversmithing, candle making, and much more. It is a wonderful and informative event for the entire family. Saturday, October 19 10am-5pm & Sunday, October 20 10am-4pm. |
