| Event Description: | **Update: Due to the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, this event has been canceled. Virginia Acres Park is closed.** First Friday Pickleball & Pizza is a free event hosted by the Southern Pickleball Academy and is open to the public. No sign-ups are needed, just show up ready to play pickleball. All levels of play are welcome. There will be extra paddles available for those wanting to learn as well as volunteer instructors. Pizza is free, but donations are accepted to defray the cost. Bring your non-alcoholic drink and your fun - we'll bring the pizza. The Southern Pickleball Academy is a formal public charity dedicated to the growth of pickleball by investing in our students, communities, and municipalities while fostering the valuable life skills of integrity, fair play, character, honesty, strategy, patience, and sportsmanship. |
