| Event Description: | The Aiken County Historical Society Spring General Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 7th, 3 pm, at the Center for African American History, Arts & Culture. The program will feature speakers Linda Johnson and Bill McGhee and include the unveiling of an official State of SC historical marker for The McGhee Block / Johnson's Drug Store. After the presentations, the marker will be taken to its permanent location at the corner of Newberry Street and Richland Avenue. The City of Aiken will host a special opening of the Johnson's Drug Store for a reception. The meeting and reception are free and open to the public. |
