Event Description: | Join us for a magical evening of music and memories, as Drs. Keely Rhodes and Megan Rich take you on a tour through the world of song. You will not want to miss the opportunity to see and hear these two magnificent artists, who will be performing as a duo for the very first time on the Etherredge Center Stage. Across genre and style, Keely and Megan shine forth from the stage like the stars they are. Dr. Keely Jean Rhodes is an Assistant Professor of Music and the Coordinator of Vocal Studies at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Honors and awards she has received: working with the renowned Sra. Mirella Freni, serving as a Fulbright Scholar to Italy, winning the Austin Critic's Table Award for Best Classical Singer - Female, performing on multiple Grammy nominated recordings, winning a Grammy Award with Conspirare, a Company of Voices, and performing on the Grammy winning composition "Prayers and Remembrances" by the late Stephen Paulus. Dr. Megan Rich is an Instructor of Music and head of piano studies at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She is affiliated with the Frances Clark Center, an international non-profit organization promoting keyboard pedagogy, and assists with the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy as well. She has a passion for pedagogical research and has published and presented many works related to piano pedagogy. She is certified in the Kodaly Method and her research focuses on the intersection of the Kodaly Method with traditional piano pedagogy.
