| Event Description: | The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department will host the 22nd annual Touch-A-Truck Event on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9 am - 1 pm. This free event provides opportunities for children to climb, sit, and explore various vehicles at the Odell Weeks Center Soccer Field, 1700 Whiskey Road, Aiken, South Carolina. For a more sensory-friendly experience, families may visit from 9 - 10 am for limited sounds and lights. A variety of vehicles will be available for children to enjoy this year. Our vehicle contributors include local businesses and organizations who see the value in providing families with this annual day of hands-on exploration. This year's event will also feature the City of Aiken's Power Wheels Derby. Registration for the Derby is $5. Participants must be 8 years of age or younger and provide their own power wheel. Come for the trucks; leave with a trophy. |
