Description: The extant slave quarters, Greek Revival mansion, and 369-acre landscape highlight Redcliffe Plantation's rich and varied history. SC Governor JH Hammond and four generations of his family, as well as numerous enslaved families and their descendants, lived at Redcliffe. Today, the park provides a setting for exploring the plantation system and the experiences and impact of the people who lived and worked there. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
