| Description: Located on US 278 West, adjacent to the Barnwell County Airport. Brick memorial pavers in honor of veterans of WW1 and post WW1 wars line the perimeter of the park and the walkway from the Huey UH-1H helicopter to the monument and flagpole area. The walking and running track on the perimeter of the park is used by locals and visitors. Host to annual events throughout the year. The Veterans Memorial Park was planned, developed, and organized by The Vietnam Veterans of America Salkehatchie Chapter 828 and is maintained by citizens of Barnwell County. |
